The Beatles / 1962 - 1966 (1976)
Six years after the Beatles' split and four years before John Lennon's violent death EMI released
the first huge compilation set consisting of two albums, the first featuring all the big hits of the group
in their first era of recording from their first single Love Me Do to Yellow Submarine
which was originally recorded for their Revolver album in 1966.
In 1993 the media was full of Beatles related stories and specials again when the Red and
Blue Album were released on CD.
